USA Nappies

This section is for Nappies from the US. I thought it worth creating this page, as there are so many gorgeous nappies from America. I want to focus on more unusual WAHM nappies, rather than the more mainstream type e.g. Fuzzi Bunz, which I think is more appropriate on the main nappy blog.

Lucy's Hope Chest

My son in a size large Lucy's Hope Chest. This has an organic cotton velour inner and a cotton sweatshirting outer.

Fabulous nappies, totally bombproof with a big size range and excellent containment.
They come in a huge range of colours and finishes. I hav plain hemp jersey colours with a really original double booster that poppers together, very absorbent.
I also have some sweatshirt material outers with velour inners, the booster for these is a thick velour pad that lays inside with no popper.
I would say that for comfy cuteness the velour inners can't be beaten, but the sweatshirt outers tend to bobble and look more worn.
The hemp jersy nappies still look fabulous inside and out, very long-lasting.
My son has been wearing the hemp size larges since he was about 7 months and he is still on the small snaps, so these should last until potty.

My only criticism is the name, it's a bit of a mouthful. :0P

Lucy's Hope Chest fitteds. these are really very well made nappies. they have side snaps which are hidden so don't touch the baby. they have an internal soaker and a lay in soaker which makes them dry quite fast. the prints are beautiful and she's always open for customs. the all organic velour handyed nappies are so soft and squishy and very absorbant. i love my lucy's hope chests and they are one of my workhorse nappies.

I received a LHC AI2 this morning. It is well on the way to being a favourite. It is a pink princess jersey outer with a hemp and velour (I think) inner. I bought it 2nd hand so I'm not sure of the specifics, but it is fantastic :o)
